Sherri Shepherd update

Shepherd We have recently received an update on the condition of Sherri’s extremely premature baby boy. The good news is that he’s still hanging on, and is now two months old. However, his difficulties continue. Bren writes:

I happen to be a member of a fertility/pregnancy bulletin board along with Sherri. It was pretty unique to have a celebrity openly posting on the boards. She posted regularly and had a lot of complications from the beginning of her pregnancy. She posted that her son was born at 25 weeks on April 22, at 1 lb. 10 oz. At last report (early June), he was still holding on, but needing a lot of medical support. For obvious reasons, she has not been posting anymore, but keeps members informed about her son’s progress. She is in our prayers.

Oh bless them. I can only imagine what this time has been like. She seemed so excited about this baby, well, i am sure she still is, but just overwhelmed with the situation. it is incredible that he is still holding on…. sounds like he would have been a big boy had he gone full term. Hope he will come through this and be healthy, active, etc. God bless them

I wish them good luck with their baby boy. Two questions, what is her son`s name and also when was her real due date?

I can’t believe it! My daughter was born in the 25th week of pregnancy at exactly 1 lb, 10 oz.! It was 16 years ago. She’s in high school now, doing great. We were very, very lucky but it was a terrible time for us. My heart goes out to Sherri, her husband and their families. I know exactly what she’s going through. There are days when you want to cry your eyes out. Our second child (a boy) was born a week AFTER my due date at 8 lb, 1 oz, so there is hope that next time will be better for her as well. God bless them.

Yes, the baby’s name is Jeffrey Jr.
What exactly are the babies physical health issues? I haven’t heard much of what was wrong with him. This is very sad though and hopefully the baby will be fine. I will pray for the baby and parents.

My son was also born very premature. At 26.5 weeks, he weighed just 1 lb, 12 oz. He just turned 6 years old a couple of weeks ago and is extremely healthy and bright. My heart goes out to Sherry, since I know what she’s going through. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.

My prayers go out to Sherri, her husband and their little baby. I hope that he will be able to hang on — it does sound like he’s a fighter.

I am very happy that your little boy is doing good. I have a grandson that was born May 18,2005 and weighed 1# 5 oz. He is doing ok, he goes through therapy every day, speech, occupational, physical, and school twice a week. He was diagnoised with CP earlier this year, it is mild, but still alot of work for everyone. He is the apple of my eye, he is the best……..I could go on and on about how wonderful Amari Jamal Charles Williams, he is my Mari Man. I gave him that name the very first time I saw him, what a little man…..I pray everyday that he continues to thrive. I wish you the best with yur son, and keep loving him as I know you do. Good Luck on a Great Show too.
