Rachel Griffiths welcomes her first girl!

Rgriffiths Six Feet Under star Rachel Griffiths, 36, and her husband Andrew Taylor welcomed their second child, a daughter, in LA on Thursday. She weighed in at 8 pounds, and her name will be announced next week. Mom and baby are fine and are "extremely happy."

Yay! Congrats to them. I’m hoping they choose Matilda – it would be the perfect sister for Banjo.

I just can’t wait to hear this name. no doubt, it will be something exciting. I agree… Matilda ( or Mathilda )would be a wonderful sibling for Banjo !

Hmm, I keep checking the news sites for her name – she’s 9 days old already. I hope they release it soon.

Other Aussies to give birth in the last couple of weeks include Baz Luhrmann (director) and his wife, who welcomed William (brother for Lillian) and Lisa McCune, who had a baby girl, Remy (sister for Archer and Oliver).
