Jordan gives birth to a boy!

Celebrity Baby Blog’s favorite scantily clad mama, Jordan aka Katie Price, has given birth to her second son. The little boy, as of yet unnamed, weighed 5 lb 13 oz and was delivered by C-section.

"Both Peter [Andre] and Katie are thrilled with the new addition to their family," the spokeswoman said. "Katie and the baby are healthy and happy, and will be spending the next few days resting in hospital. Peter and Katie would like to thank everyone for their messages of congratulations and best wishes."

Concraulations to Jordan and Peter. I hope the baby is well and healthy unlike her first child Harvey. It would be a shame if her second son was sick aswell.

Oh Wow! I am so pleased that this baby is healthy!! I’m suprised he’s a bit small but hey, lotsa kids are small! (I was!) I can’t wait til they release a picture!

- Jenn on

What is wrong with her first son? Was he sick when he was born?

- andrea on

Her first son is diagnosed with Autism. Autism is usually diagnosed at 2 or 3 yrs. of age because typically they develop at the same rate as those who are do not have it. Around the age of 2, parents will typically see their child regress developmentally if their child is autistic. I work with students with Autism and it’s amazing to hear the parents stories on how they learned their child has this complex disorder. Each story is unique– evry child is unique. Also you can find siblings on the Autism spectrum. Anyone interested in learning about Autism check out TEACCH.com

it’s nice to finally see a post not about *perfect* Heidi. Jordan is one of my favs (her fashion is priceless, much better than Heidi). The interview she had about her 1st born nearly brought me to tears. I am so happy for her and her husband. I know she will be a great mother to the second son.

- melanie on

Not to start a fight here, but, excuse me, what’s wrong with hearing about “perfect Heidi?” I happen to like Heidi, because she’s classy, doesn’t dress half-naked and doesn’t drink and act irresponsibly while pregnant.

Anyway, congrats to Katie and her hubby on the birth of the new one.

Seems like Katie named her first son a relatively normal name, so I doubt her second son will have an exotic name. Good on her, though, for taking Harvey to the doctor for the diagnosis of autism. We have a family friend that refuses to take her nearly 3-year old to the doctor even though she has exhibited signs of autism for awhile now.
Congrats to Peter & Katie.

Well, congratulations are in order indeed :o )

I do wonder why she had to have a caesarean…. I hope the baby is well, because he does sound a bit small. And definitely, can’t wait to see him in li’l footballer outfits or with a mohawk or whatnot. This will be fun!

(And for the record, I think most of us enjoy hearing about *all* pregnancies.)

Hmm..I wonder why a C-Section was in order too. Anyone know if she had one with Harvey? Perhaps there were complications (because the baby was so small) and they needed to deliver right away.

They said in the Sun article that the baby was moving and in the wrong position, so I’m guessing it was breech or transverse…she wanted to deliver naturally, but her doctor thought a c-section would be safer.

Also, Peter said that the baby was 3-4 weeks early. Perhaps that accounts for the low birth weight, if he wasn’t due until mid July.

- Sarah, CBB Editor on

She had to have a emergency C-section due to complications. Apparently she wanted a regular birth, but the baby had to be taken out early.

And autism is not Harvey’s only problem. He is also blind and has other developmental problems.

- sy on

Jordan’s son Harvey had mild autism and is also blind. Jordan had said that a lot of the times he hits and bites her cus of his condition and he wil never get 2 c the new baby cus of his eyesight being so poor.
Apparently the new baby has been called “Waleed Micheal Andrea” but i’m not 2 sure. I saw it on a website but there had been no confirmation of it.

- *Tamara* on

Gosh I hope that is not the babys name!
It’s a shame about her first son condition. He seems to be affected by several things. I also heard he had a growth disorder.

- Clare on

Not to nit pick, but why does everyone seem to think that the birth weight is so low? I weighed 5lbs. 6ozs, the largest baby in my family only weighed 7lbs, most of us weighed in the 5-6lb. range. So i’m just curious, as to why that birth weight is considered so low? Most babies in my family were born on the due date or were late as well. Congrats to the family though.

- Kiki on

my premmie baby weighed 2lb 14oz, so he seems big to me..Thankfully mine is healthy, hope this one is too.

- Patricia on

5 pound range is considered low birth weight I think. The average is in the 7′s these days I would say…I work in a maternity ward and it seems 4 out of 5 babies are in the 7-8 pound range lately. Not always a bad thing, birth weight is VERY much genetic. I was a 10 pounder; my son was a 10 pounder. But I carried looking like I was going to have a 6 pounder. “Jordan” looked like she had an 8 pounder in there, I am surprised he was so small.
