Congrats to Amy!!!

How exactly do you say that? Is it like Boadie?

- Shan on

I knew she’d have a boy! Don’t remember if they said so beforehand. I always loved Charlotte’s name, and of course Amy’s as that’s my youngest’s name! She’s 8 and thinks they named the show after her! I was quite upset they cancelled it,(& Joan of Arcadia, I’m probably the only middle aged fan of it!) but at least Amy can be home with her little guy longer. Bet Charlotte’s a real little mommies helper!

congrats to her!!!!
I wonder how they picked the name? Its different and unique.

- Danielle on

I love the name Bodhi!!! A fellow online friend named her son Bodhi a few years ago.

- Lauren on

Patti you aren’t the only older fan of Joan! I like the show and I am almost 36 and my mom is 53 and LOVED the show!!! Don’t feel alone! :)

Congrats to Amy!! Bodhi is a very unique name although NMS its something not easily forgotten!

Bodhi is pronounced Bo-Dee

I have little Bodhis popping up all over my town! At my baby gym class, we have 2 Bodhis and when we went around the circle and all the moms said their babies name, the other Bodhi mom got the saddest look on her face when she heard that there was another Bodhi in town! Bodhi was Patrick Swayzes character’s name in Point Break, if anyone remembers that surf flick.

- Ashley on

What happy news! Congrats to Amy, Brad, and new big sister Charlotte!

I thought I’d heard that great name (Bodhi) before…and then I remembered the “Point Break” movie (loved it!) and I also think Bodhi is the name of Jenna Elfman’s (“Dharma and Greg”) hubby.

Tink 1217- I feel better now! I was more disappointed than either my 8 year old or 19 year old who were both fans as well. We’ve enjoyed Amber Tamblyn’s work since she was a little girl playing Emily on GH, and even went to see the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants when it was released! My older girl also loves Alexis Bledel and Gilmore Girls, thought I never watched that much. Also love her name, Amber Rose. Actually, surprised we don’t see more Ambers on this blog. I don’t know any Bodhi’s, but do know of a 2 year old Bohdan, which I liked when I first heard it.

Oh yeah, Tink1217, been meaning to ask, does the 1217 refer to your birthday? as mine is 1216. Just curious. I enjoy meeting other near-Christmas babies. Our family has mostly Dec and January births.

- patti on

Ohhh, I like that name! That’s really cool.

And by the way, I’m a huge ‘Joan of Arcadia’ fan! I literally cried when I found out they cancelled it. And as soon as I was done sobbing, I wrote about 10 letters to the president of CBS :-)

And Patti, I know you weren’t asking me or anything, but my birthday is 12-15. I like to meet almost-Christmas babies, too :-)

- Candice on

I don’t think Bodhi is an unusual name…I like it! :)

Patti

I’m a Christmas baby too 12-27 thought i’d sure that too

- Rachel on

Cute name. I think that Bodhi is a shorter form for Bodhisatva, a buddhist term. In “POint Break” Patrick Swayze’s name, “Bodhi”, had that meanings.

- jessamy on

She definitely has the pregnancy glow in that photo!

- kat on

I’ve heard Bodhi before, but spelled differently – I think Boadie, as in Boadie Miller, the skiier. Congrats to Amy & family!

Candice and Rachel- I’m glad to meet any December babies! Our family has twins Dec1, a baby boy 12/6/03, my nephew 12/12 (as well as my ex-father-in-law), one of my oldest friends 12/15, mine and 2 girls from elementary school who celebrated together every year for nearly a decade, my daughter’s cousin’s baby 12/17 and her brother 12/18, another baby I took care of 12/19, my uncle 12/23, cousin 12/26, brother-in-law and grandma-in-law 12/27, another best friend’s boy 12/28 ,my current best friend’s baby 12/29/04, a friend and a set of identical twins I grew up with all 3 on 12/30/63, and I think I’ve forgotten a few. I’m trying to get where I know one for each day! Oddly enough, don’t know any on Christmas Eve or Day, yet I have relatives on nearly every holiday, my favorite being my dad, a Valentine baby who turned 75 this year!

I love thislady and little Charlotte, can’t wait to see the little guy. Dad’s cute, too!

And maybe we can all pressure CBS into reviving our show! Amber was in an interview last week saying they wanted to put something else in that prime Friday slot, but seems to me there are other places that JofA would fit, better than the existing lineup! And she and the others have all said they’d go back if by some miracle the exec’s minds were changed. Seems like that would fit an episode!

Otherwise, maybe Amy and Amber can take a year off and get a new show together, they’d be a good team.
