aww…August 30th is my b-day..Congrats,a nd best luck..Does anyone know what Kaden means?

Lori B on

Congrats to them! I have a 4 yr old son also named Cayden Christopher! How cool.

Ang on

My son’s name is Kaden also. It means fighter.

Patti on

my daughter’s nephew is Cayden Perry, and my other daughter goes to school with another Caden. Thanks Ang, for the meaning, even though it seems to me to be quite popular, we’ve had no luck finding it in books on meanings of names. It definitely fits these boys!
Anyone know the meaning of Jocel? My niece’s 5 year old girl, we haven’t been able to find it either, though it seems like it’d be a variation of Jocelyn.

Jane on

On Chris Graebe’s blog, he said that the name means “Friend of Christ”, which is very apt, since he and his wife are very religionous.

Ang on

Patty, I looked in my book and Jocel wasn’t in there. There was Jocelyn, meaning lighthearted and thats the only thing close. Kaden does mean fighter though. :)

Ang- thanks for looking!
Kat- can you be a little less intense with your words when you disagree with us? I thought it was just me in the comments re: Angie Harmon’s baby, but here you’ve been very insensitive to the ladies with sons named Kaden/Cayden.

Kat on

So sorry Patti. I was being insensitive.
Please forgive me. I will try not to be so intense and blunt – I get told that I am alot.
