Jordan announces she's having a boy

Jordan, the British lad mag model, who seems to have made it her personal aim to live up to the title "hot mama" announced that the baby she and fiance Peter Andre are expecting next month is a boy.  They said they have yet to decide on a name.

Says Jordan, “I said all along that I’d like a girl so I could have a mini-me. But then I also said I wanted another boy to look after Harvey [her three year old son].”

I think we are all breathing a collective sigh of relief that there will be no Jordan Mini Me.

Congrats to them.

and that was funny about the mini-me thing.

Although I’d like to think she didn’t mean it too literally…i think.

I will be praying this little guy is happy and healthy and so is mommy!

That was hilarious!

Then again, I bet it would be funny to see what kind of hideous outifts the poor little girl would have been sujected to… or not.

“But then I also said I wanted another boy to look after Harvey”

Isn’t that *her* job?

I’m confused. Generally speaking the older sibling looks after the younger sibling, not vice versa. Well, in my case, the older sibling (me) bit the younger sibling (my sister) and tried to give her away to some other family on more than one occasion, much to our mother’s annoyance. But I got over my sibling rivalry eventually! If her son Harvey is three years older, won’t he be looking after the little guy, at least theoretically? I’m glad she’s happy about the baby’s sex, but I wonder if she got misquoted.

Re: the mini-me comment, Jordan is the British model who was shown on this blog wearing THAT maternity outfit, right? Don’t know a lot about her (didn’t even realize this was her second baby), but I remember the photo.

re: Raincitygirl’s comment…

Harvey is blind and has some other developmental issues. I think that’s why she said she wants a little brother to help look after him. But you’re right- it doesn’t make sense for a baby to look after a toddler. Anyway, a sister could help look after a brother too.

I think she means that the new baby will look after Harvey and help take care of him after Jordan is gone. Harvey will always have serious problems and could live a very long life, and Jordan probably won’t always be around. Though I don’t know why it has to be a boy who would look after Harvey, a girl would love and protect him just the same.

Jordan’s first son has a multitude of health problems so that’s probably what she means about another boy taking care of him. It was probably taken slightly out of context though.

Maybe she means like when they are at school or if he gets bullied he can then stick up for harvey.
