I’d say take a nap when the baby does, dont think that it is your time to get stuff done. You’ll learn in about a week its not! And rock on Britney, rock on!!!! : )

I would say don’t worry about being a super mom that does everything, if you have help take it. It is really hard in the beginning and you need time for your mind and body to heal, so take time for yourself once a day even it is just for 30 minutes to sleep, workout, eat a decent meal, shop , relax whatever you want , because believe me you wont get time for any of that the first couple of months. I was blessed with a wonderful husband who comes home from 10 hours shifts at work and wants to take my kids to help me out and to spend time with them and he is exhuasted but he loves doing it. Make sure you ask your husband to help you as much as you need and he can give because it is hard and it is their job too.

Don’t sweat the small stuff! It saves so many headaches in the long run. And, don’t try to be super mom. Also, with a busy life like Britney’s…take time to ENJOY babyhood!! Its a precious time!!

I would say take motherly advice from poeple, but when you actually have the baby motherly instincts will kick in. I know everyone was trying to teach me how to raise my baby and telling what to do and what not to do, but I learned it all on my own. It’s amazing how you change after you have a baby. My advice? Take lots of pictures/videos of that tiny person. They grow up SO fast!

All of the above – especially what Lauren says about them growing up so fast. Enjoy every single minute, even the crying/lack of sleep, etc. because before you know it, they will be grown up. Time flys!

My best advice would be to get Dad involved from day one. Not only will it help you TREMEMDOUSLY to have someone you can ask to cover a 1 AM feeding– the sooner they get to play with the baby and help out, the more bonded they’ll feel, the more comfortable you’ll be with his parental skills, and the more he’ll appreciate what you do on a daily basis.

I’d give Britney the same advice that I give to my friends – don’t listen to all the advice people feel compelled to give you!
Do what’s right for you – don’t get caught up in doing what everyone else thinks is right for you. Follow your heart. Ignore what the critics say.

My advice would be to try to keep stress to a minimum, listen cautiously to all of the well-meaning advice (and there will be A LOT), but then pick and choose for yourself what you want to do and stick by your choices! DON’T use the pregnancy as an excuse to eat anything and everything you want – in other words, DON’T eat for two! You need to eat more because the baby needs the extra nutrients (so your body doesn’t suffer a deficit), but literally eating for two will just create way too much unnecessary and unwanted weight gain, making it more difficult to return to your normal weight. At your age, you will bounce back with little difficulty if you watch the weight – breastfeeding will also help tremendously. If you’re breastfeeding, don’t “diet” or you won’t be able to provide milk for the baby and have enough nutrients for your own health. And, finally, enjoy this truly special time in your life!

Just wanted to say congrats! I guess this is the season to get pregnant! I know of right now six people that is pregnant including me! I’m due in December! Just have fun and give your babyall the hugs and kisses you can! Keep up the good work Britney!! CONGRATS!!!!

I think Britney and Jordan should get a Thudguard infant safety hat for their babies when they are learning to walk. It would help show young parents (like my daughter who bought one for my grandson), just what responsible parenting means in this day and age of new safety ideas! It is not being overprotecive to want to keep your children safe. After all, the “pudding” was a safety hat back in the late 1600 – 1700 century. I saw a painting by the painter Rubens, of his son and another of young King Gustav of Sweden wearing a crude safety hat back then. If it is good enough for royalty – then it is good enough for my daughters, Britney and Jordon’s babies!
