More rumored sad news…

This is a RUMOR, only a RUMOR. I want to make that clear. We received a tip from one reader, then last night I got an email about it from another site-who could have just gotten the information from us. Obviously a miscarriage is the kind of news no one wants to report, but given the nature of the site, we do want to report any celebrity baby news we hear. Please do not pass this around the net as being true-the fact is, we just don’t know.

Just a few days after it was reported that editor Jane Pratt lost her twins, CBB Reader qtbrownie tells us that Sherri Shepherd (Less Than Perfect, BeautyShop) is also mourning the loss of her baby. Apparently, the boy that she and her husband were expecting in August did not survive into the sixth month of pregnancy.

This is especially sad news as it was a hard-won pregnancy for Sherri, who finally succeeded in conceiving through IVF. She and husband Jeff were planning to name the baby Jeffrey Charles Jr.

Still looking for a definitive source on this, so I’m posting it as a rumor for now. I’m really hoping that it’s not true.

I sincerely pray that this is a rumor. I just lost my son at 5 months after an IVF pregnancy and I know that pain she must be in if this is in fact true. It’s a pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone. My prayers are with her and her husband.

wow i really hope and pray that it is just an awful rumor. i wouldnt wish anything like that on anyone. im gonna hug and kiss my kids so much tonight and thank god that they are healthy. my heart goes out to them if its true.

Yeah, her site hasn’t been updated since the middle of March though.

I wish there was more information on this. The person who told us hasn’t responded to me asking for a source yet.

On one hand, we want to have this info up in case it is true, but on the other hand, this is a post I would LOVE to have to delete.

Yeah, there was a post from that girl, then like a half hour later, I got an email from someone I’ve never seen post here before, giving me a link to a website that had the same info (which they could have easily taken from here). So we really don’t know at this point.

I hope it’s not true-I just want some confirmation either way.

I really enjoy this site, but I am wondering why you would post something so sad and person if it’s only a rumor? I think it is a bit insensitive. I really hope it’s only a rumor because she was very candid about the trouble that she went through to get pregnant.

I’m thinking the same thing. Why on earth would you post something tragic UNTIL there is confirmation. Why feed rumors?

I am really hoping this isn’t true. Remember all those rumors about Julia Ormond having a stillborn baby? Those persisted for months, and then Julia comes out later and says she had a healthy baby girl.

Given the nature of the site, we want to post anything celebrity baby related that we find out, even if it is rumored. It’s in the rumors category and prefaced as one. I’ll add it to the title and the top of the post, and hide the article after the continuation, as well. I’m sorry if any of you are offended.

It’s just like the whole Elisabeth Hasselbeck baby thing-we’ll delete anything that ends up being false once we get some confirmation either way. Obviously, we all hope that this isn’t true, but we want to have it posted in case it is, since we are a celebrity baby news site.

i really hope this is a rumour, i dont think i can fully understand having never lost a child myself but im sure this must be a terrible thing for any woman to suffer through. my thoughts and prayers are with the families of both women and any of the other posters who have angels.on a similar but unceleb related i would like to ask for your prayers for the prents of irish conjoined twins who died during the week in the days following their birth after it was determined they could not be seperated and for a family in my home town who lost their son when he was hit by a car on a family trip to the beach.

She was last on the View between April 4-6, she was there when Star Jones-Reynolds was in CA for Johnnie Cochran’s funeral,and while Barbara was in England covering the C/C wedding stuff, Cochran died when the Pope did and the royal wedding was April 9, it was bumped one day in honor if the Pope passing. I think I saw her on April 6, I know I was on the road on the 4th, and they were still waiting news on Elisabeth’s baby, who was born on the 6th but announced on the 7th because she was born at 9:30AMish so hadn’t received the call yet from the hospital. I too hope it is rumor, she seemed so thrilled, and is such a good actress and seems like she’s a real nice person, too.And married to a great guy. She did say she’d had trouble in the 1st trimester though, and bed rest, but thought they were past the danger zone. Just keep praying for her either way I guess.

On another note, I’d love to see co-star Sara Rue have one as well, they are the new Courteney/Jennifer and Sara has been in a good marriage quite awhile now.

Yeah, that’s gotta be what they took from Sarah. I haven’t heard anything on the usual celeb news shows, tabloids, etc., so still hoping it’s a false alarm, maybe she’s back on bedrest or in the hospital. I think the ladies on the View would be sending condolences and prayers, they usually mention happy and even sad items like this. Time will tell, but I know they’d be great parents and no boy would ever be loved more.

I hope it isn’t true, but it seems that if it wasn’t true she or a friend or her agent would have heard about this rumor by now and quashed it. Could it be that IMDb managed to have it confirmed somehow before posting it.? She’s seems like such a sweet person I hate to see this kind of thing in print when it’s not true.

IMDB is not the most reliable source sometimes. It’s sad news and very personal, so it’s not suprising that they wouldn’t release a statement if it’s true. It’s kinda like when we hear that a celeb is pregnant, not just rumored, and then we never hear about the baby again.

I debated posting this but I think everyone should know that she did NOT lose her baby. Her baby was born premature and has severe problems but she did not lose him. Keep her family in your prayers because its very serious for her baby right now.
