Cindycrawford98angelstore Stylish model mom Cindy Crawford knows exactly where the Malibu rich and famous go to shop for their kids. 98% Angel is baby and kids boutique tucked away off Pacific Coast Highway at the Malibu Country Mart. It’s not easy to find, unless you’re familiar with Malibu. But once inside, you’ll discover a range of Petit Bateau, Jean Bourget, and many other high end European brands. They also sell 1001 different kinds of socks and also shoes and tights. Lots of stuff for babies there, but stuff for the big ones as well.

I have a question, is Petit Bateau a “chic” brand in the USA ? Because here in France, it’s the #1 brand for underwear & pj’s for both babies & kids. Even women can find tops, nightwear & other nice stuff and it’s not expensive at all.

I don’t know if it’s considered a chic brand in the US but it’s definitely got cache. It’s probably twice or three times as expensive as it is in Europe. A women’s white crew neck short sleeve tee is $26. It’s on par with other “fancy” tee shirt brands like Michael Stars ($26) or Three Dots ($37). The Gap’s short sleeve cotton tee is $14, Banana Republic’s is $20.

Yes, I would say Petit Bateau is definitely a high-end clothing line for children in the US.

They sell it at a few expensive boutiques that I frequent to look for things for my two children. I believe they only stock the pajamas, though, which run around $42 (as compared to the other pajamas sold there that are around $36). I also have gotten a few petit bateau t-shirts from ebay at a decent price but I’ve found their stuff to run really small and usually have to buy 1-2 sizes bigger for my toddlers.
