WNBA Houston Comets forward Tina Thompson is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, NBA Miami Heat guard Damon Jones, in May. Thompson revealed the news yesterday when she announced she would miss part of the upcoming WNBA season that starts on May 21st.
I was very shocked," Thompson told KRIV television in Houston. "It wasn’t a planned thing, although it’s a very welcome one and very exciting one for me and Damon." Thompson set no definitive date for her return but said she does plan to rejoin the team this season. Thanks to Greenie for the info.
