The 72-year-old’s fiancee Jodie Brooke Wilson gave birth at a London hospital at 10.44am. The happy couple have named their first child, and O’Connor’s first son, Adam Harrison Campbell. A spokeswoman for the pair said: “Both mother and baby are fine. “Des and Jodie are delighted, thrilled and overjoyed.” The couple decided on Adam because it was “strong” name. O’Connor’s father’s Christian name was Harris and Campbell is Miss Wilson’s father’s family name. The child is the first for singer-songwriter Miss Wilson. O’Connor has four other children, Karen, 41, Tracy Jane, 40, Samantha, 38 and Kristina, 16, from his three marriages. The couple, who have been together for nearly 14 years, got engaged in 2003 although no date has been set for their wedding.
