Gwyneth Takes Baby Apple for Her First Stroll

05/23/2004 at 11:29 AM ET

New mum Gwyneth Paltrow took her baby daughter Apple for a stroll in London yesterday – and appears to have reformed her attitude to the paparazzi. The Oscar-winning beauty and her Coldplay frontman husband Chris Martin are notoriously wary of photographers, and the singer has had violent confrontations with some snappers. Judging by the lack of post-pregnancy tum we reckon Gwynnie must have been doing her yoga during the birth. But as Gwyneth and two bodyguards took the tiny tot out for a walk in London’s lavish Belgravia district, she paused to smile for the cameras and even gave a good-natured comment. When asked how she was finding motherhood, Gwyneth beamed, “It is absolutely wonderful and I feel great. Apple is wonderful. I think she is a bit like both me and Chris.”I only wish there was a better picture…..I wanted to see baby Apple in the stroller.

Mom Said It

"We weren't trying to have kids. We left it up to fate. I knew there was a possibility, but I was really excited. Even if you are trying, just to see a positive result is shocking!"
