Pet Peeve
It wasn’t until I started regularly reading trashy magazines like US Weekly that I realized the use of "bump" to describe a pregnant woman’s belly. It drives me nuts. I don’t know why. Why can’t they just call it a belly?
It’s not a bump. It’s a BABY!!! To marginalise a human being into a fashion accessory by referring to it as a “bump” is repulsive.
